The Biggest Mistake in using your Facebook Business Page
If you are anything like me, keeping up with creating content to post on your Facebook Page can be challenging. What I have learned while working with over a dozen chiropractic B2B and B2C Facebook pages is that if you aren't paying for your page, then you are losing out.
The Facebook algorithm for a business page is quite low organically, unless you are one of the viral pages or very well loved and appreciated through your network. In those cases, you aren't reading this blog, right!
Facebook is a Pay to Play Game for the Facebook Business Page.
Mark Zuckerberg is very nice is the platform is completely free for anyone that wants to use it personally. But if you want to use it for any sort of branding, awareness or business purpose, you must use a page per their small language when you sign up. You also must pay to boost posts.
The best part of this for you, did I just say best?! I did say best, the best part of this for you as a small business owner learning you have to spend money on Facebook is... It's so cheap! AND it's so incredibly crazy useful when you use the targeting feature.
Do you have an email newsletter list? Patient email list? Did you know you can upload an email list and target them in Facebook.
Do you want another juicy social hack for Chiropractors that are interested in connecting with other local businesses- small and corporate?
Step 1: Connect with the HR and Administration people on LinkedIn at the companies that you want to work with. Identify for you what "work with" means (ie. spinal screenings, lunch and learn, dinner with doc, health expo, etc) and yes, I did say LinkedIn.
Step 2: After you have a solid list of connections, you can export that list into a .CSV file
Step 3: Upload that .CSV file into your Facebook Ad Manager to target the audience for an ad campaign.
Step 4: Send a message on LinkedIn requesting to connect with them about discussing an event with their business. Mention something personal you can find on either their LinkedIn profile and/or Facebook profile.
That above process is golden! I almost didn't want to share it, but my guess is that it is a little too labor intensive for many to test...........
HINT: These projects can be outsourced- any younger techy person you know- or online through sources like Virtual Staff Finder- or they really, actually don't take all that long.
